With Van Vivaldi we are pleased to present to you the first reserve Sieger of the 2012 Münster-Hahndorf licensing. In 2014 he won the Swedish licensing performance test for dressage stallions. He was considered a very expressive and elegant stallion of modern type, and rewarded for his excellent mechanics, balance, and ease of movement. Van Vivaldi showed that he was a stallion with 3 excellent gaits and a promising future.
He was judged as having a big, strong, elastic walk. The trot as light, bearing, rhythmic and showing very good mechanics and self-carriage. The canter as very light, active, rhythmic, and elastic, with a great self-carriage even on a loose rein.
In 2015, as a 5-year-old, Van Vivaldi qualified to the finals of the Scandinavian Open in Falsterbo, and finished the season at the Young Horse World Championship's where he was awarded a maximum of 8.76 points.
Van Vivaldi during 2016 was highly sought after as a breeding stallion so was sparsely competed. In each of his 3 starts he was victorious, winning with over 80%. Van Vivaldi ridden by Caroline Darcourt won the Swedish Breeders Trophy for six-year-old horses with 86.4%.
He received many words of praise from the judges, led by Mariette Sanders van Gansewinkel. Amongst the remarks were; a fantastic horse with three very correct gaits. The walk has a good reach, the trot has great suspension and covers a lot of ground, the canter is powerful, driven from the hind and well balanced. As a future prospect he received a score of 9.0.
During 2018 Van Vivaldi competed with great success at Prix Saint George level, with among other successes a double victory in Stockholm. He also won classes up to Intermediaire I level.
The 2019 season continued with strong successes. In his first competition together with Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén they won an Intermediaire II with 71,17%. This was followed by their first International win at Intermediaire A CDI3* with 74,265%, and achieving a score of 75,765% in the Intermediaire II CDI3* class.
Van Vivaldi`s offspring are very appealing with naturally easy gaits. Van Vivaldi conformation and technique can be used to cover many different types of mares to improve characteristics in both type and movement in their offspring. In addition, he passes on to his offspring 3 excellent gaits, the power to engage and lift their bodies in balance, self-carriage and charisma.
During 2016 two of his offspring were presented at the elite foal auction. Van Vivaldi in January 2017 had his third approved son. The three-year-old stallion was approved in Munich, where he was later sold at the proceeding auction.\r\n\r\nDuring 2017 he received further approved sons, as a result of their appealing type and excellent gaits. The results from both the 3-year performance tests and the foal inspections in 2017 gave a clear message, that Van Vivaldi conformation and gaits made him a sire of the highest rank. In Germany his offspring have been highly successful in the young horse classes. At Oldenburg’s championship for 3-year-old riding horses in Rastede July 2018, a Van Vivaldi offspring won. During the Bundeschampionat 2018, Venecia OLD (Van Vivaldi – Florencio I) became the Reserve Bundeschampion for 3-year-old mares and geldings.
Van Vivaldi has performance blood from the international competition arenas. The father Vivaldi had all gait figures above 8.5 in his practice test, he won the Pavo Cup as a five-year-old and has won stallion classes countless times. He competed up to difficult dressage with Hans-Peter Minderhoud.
Father Vivaldi is now exclusively in breeding and is one of the most sought after gait inheritors in Europe with Krack C (Anky van Grunsven) and Jazz (Kirsten Becker) in the pedigree. The mother combines Jazz with the trakehner stallion Biotop, Reiner Klimke's last big competition horse in the Grand Prix. Jazz and Olivi have both competed in Grand Prix dressage and are top breeders of gait horses.
Van Vivaldi is an approved stallion in SWB, Westfahlen, Hannover, Rheinland, Oldenburg and the southern German federations.
