El Barone 111 is one of Europe`s most sought after stallions with results up to international 5* 160-classes with Malin Baryard Johnson and Jens Fredricson.

El Barone 111 was top ranked in the prestigious Belgium stallion jumping series “Pavo Cup” as a four-year-old, five-year-old and a six-year-old and flawless in all his International starts as a six-year-old. In 2019 due to the high demand as a breeding stallion he was sparsely competed. Despite this he was placed second in the Pavo Cup for 7 years and started CSI2* 140, demonstrating this promising stallions development. In 2020 the convincing record continued with solid results and wins up to CSI3* 140.

El Barone 111 has a huge jumping capacity, balance and spectacular technique. His cool attitude, strong gallop and riding ability, combined with his desire to win, gives him the best qualities to succeed in the sport, following in the footsteps of his famous sire.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson became El Barone`s new rider in 2021. Together they achieved results up to international 5* 160-classes before Jens Fredricson took over the reins in 2022. El Barone 111 and Jens has had an successful start to their partnership, with placements during the fall 2023 in both Helsinki and Oslo.

Offspring

El Barone`s first offspring have been highly rated by both breeders and auctioneers. Those who are now under saddle have shown good promise as future jumping horses and he already has several approved sons. By March 2024, he already has 14 approved sons in Studbooks around Europe and his first offspring is entering the international arena’s. 

Pedigree

His sire Emerald and the Dutch rider Harry Smolders have an exceptional career in international show-jumping and an anchor to the Dutch national team. Team medals from the Olympic Games, World Cup Finals, GCT and countless 5-star Grand-Prix top placements are among their achievements. As a breeding stallion Emerald has passed on his jumping predisposition numerous times. Out of his first year’s foals in 2008 is among others the approved stallion I´m special de Muze, and the young jump star Igor, ridden by Jos Verlooy. From Emerald`s line come many international Grand Prix horses such as Butterfly PS, Nobility PS and Diamanthina van`t Ruytershof.

His dam Naktibro competed successfully at the 150-jumping level, and is the sister of two approved stallions, one of which is Guidam Sohn.\r\n\r\nHis dams sire Libero H with Jos Lansink in the saddle was known worldwide in the sport and one of the fathers of modern jumping horses. Libero H won numerous World Cup qualification competitions and went on to win the Worlds Cup final in1994. He achieved the highest honor a stallion can receive with respect to quality “preferent”. The preferent predicate is granted when a stallion demonstrates excellence relative to other stallions with respect to movement or jumping abilities and conformation traits of his offspring. And produced many Grand Prix horses such as Castle Forbes Libertina (Jessica Kürten), No Mercy (Christina Liebherr), Castle Forbes Maike (Jessica Kürten). Libero H is also father to the KPWN approved stallion Ustinov, which in 2004 became the KPWN champion stallion.

In the third generation is the breeding legend Zeus, who left countless top sport horses and approved stallions.
